Experienced Litigation Paralegal Needed for New Jersey Law Firm (Manhattan, New York)

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Manhattan, New York. As a key member of our firm, you will work closely with our talented attorneys to provide support before, during, and after trials. Our firm is dedicated to fighting for consumer rights and our over 3,000 employees are all united by this mission.

Responsibilities:

- Preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints
- E-filing of all court documents in state and federal court
- Communication with clients, court, counsel, and other parties
- Conducting legal research and factual investigations
- Preparation of discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
- Drafting and serving summons
- Coordination and summarization of depositions
- Preparation of trial binders and exhibits
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court
- Performing administrative duties, such as calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Assisting attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gathering relevant information from various sources
- Liaising between trial teams and internal/external third parties
- Witness preparation
- Assisting with case settlements
- Other tasks as requested by the attorney

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of litigation experience required
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury-related practice areas (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive computer and database expertise; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm

Salary Range: $65,000—$85,000 USD
