Real Estate Finance Litigation Paralegal Law Firm is looking for a Real Estate Finance Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This position will assist attorneys in the Real Estate Capital Markets group in various types of legal matters and provide assistance in preparing legal documents. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses and obtains affidavits. Prepare and e-File all court documents (federal and state courts). Maintain docket calendar for court appearances and deadlines. Locate previous judicial decisions and legal articles pertaining to cases. Organize documents and coordinate document productions, including working closely with the litigation support department. Review and analyze loan documents and custodial files. Prepare documentation necessary to correct breaks in the chain of ownership loan. Attend and participate in meetings. Prepare documents and correspondence. Special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3+ years’ experience in related area. Real estate experience a plus. Organizational skills to work independently and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions. Organizational skills to maintain daily accounting of time records and input timesheets into the system directly. Communication skills to interact with all levels of internal staff, attorneys and management, and external clients of the firm. Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
