- Job Title: Subrogation Paralegal

Primary Responsibilities:

- Analyze and summarize damages
- Draft complaints, motions to compel and other discovery motions
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Case file management (create, organize, track and maintain files; monitor calendars and meeting deadlines; document actions; input information into file database and case management software)
- Document management including but not limited to review of documents, bates labeling, organization of documents and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions
- Coordinate scene examinations, destructive testing and depositions
- Review financial and business records and prepare chronologies
- Preparing FOIA requests
- Witness investigation
- Trial and deposition preparation
- E-filing in both state and federal courts

Cozen O’Connor, a leading law firm with over 30 offices nationwide, is seeking an experienced Subrogation Paralegal to support attorneys in the Subrogation Department. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a plaintiff-oriented practice and a strong knowledge of state and federal courts, rules of civil procedure, and e-filing. The paralegal can be located within commuting distance to any of the Firm’s offices and will have the opportunity to work both in the office and remotely, with a flexible 3 days in the office and 2 days remote schedule.

As a Subrogation Paralegal at Cozen O’Connor, your responsibilities will include analyzing and summarizing damages, drafting complaints and other legal documents, managing case files, coordinating scene examinations and depositions, and preparing for trials and depositions. You will also have the opportunity to review financial and business records, conduct witness investigations, and e-file in both state and federal courts. The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and independent worker with excellent organizational and communication skills.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a four-year bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate. The firm is offering a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $100,000, representing their good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
