Kirkland & Ellis is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal I to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to case teams in all phases of the litigation practice, from pre-complaint to trial and appeal. **Job Responsibilities:** - Organize and manage electronic and hard copy document collections - Legal and factual cite checking - Trial preparation and attendance - Prioritize and manage multiple cases/projects - Mentor junior paralegals - Manage document production processes - Assist with the collection of material from client, opposing parties, and third parties (hard copies, electronic data, physical evidence) - Maintain chain of custody - Manage logistics of production of documents - hard copy, images, native - Substantive research - Analyze documents and materials - Research rules of procedure for relevant court venues - Coordinate preparation and filing of briefs and legal documents - Draft routine filings (. attorney appearances, notices of filings, notices of motions) - Check legal cites for proper format, content and accuracy (Westlaw, Lexis; Blue Book) - Compile appendices and exhibits - Manage service of process; files with court and serves on parties; coordinate with local counsel - Manage trial and hearing preparation and support - Compile and track trial exhibits - Prepare pretrial documents - Manage trial transcripts **Qualifications & Requirements:** - 3-5 years of experience focusing on complex litigation cases, including managing large discovery, preparing for trial, and managing trial support - High-level experience with a range of litigation support applications - Excellent analytical and organizational abilities - Solid communication and management skills - Creativity, initiative and ability to work in a team environment - Bachelor’s degree required - Flexibility to accommodate for travel and overtime - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds - MS Office proficiency including Excel and DMS management required - Intermediate experience relating to Relativity; TextMap, Westlaw; - Electronic filing and Pacer Pro proficiency required **Compensation:** For applicants based in Los Angeles, pay range information is available at . **How to Apply:** To apply for this position, please click "" and follow the instructions.
