Position Summary:

- Assist and provide support to clients and case teams under the direction of the Director of Legal Assistants and attorneys
- Work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and multiple responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of civil litigation through training and on-the-job experience
- Collaborate with other personnel at the Firm to deliver legal services to clients

Duties and Accountabilities:

- Conduct legal and factual research using various resources
- Prepare documents for production and maintain case files
- Assist with depositions, witness interviews, and exhibit preparation
- Check citations and create Tables of Authorities and Contents
- Prepare pleadings and supporting materials for filing or service
- Attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Arrange for necessary resources such as court reporters and interpreters
- Create charts, graphs, and tables for data analysis
- Utilize firm resources and e-discovery software programs
- Record time entries accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of
- Strong academic background and writing skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Related work or internship experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with technology and ability to learn new programs
- Ability to work under pressure and with a variety of personalities
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed
- Foreign language skills a plus

Location and Reporting:

- Based in Houston, United States
- Reports to the Manager of Litigation Legal Assistants
