#Sr Paralegal Position at DLA Piper

##Qualifications for Sr. Paralegal

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

* 6 years’ Paralegal experience supporting a Finance practice group in a law firm or professional services environment
* Experience managing data rooms and matter files on document management systems
* Detail-oriented and self-motivated
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of work

##Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the preferred candidate will have the following:

* Blue Sky experience
* Experience preparing and filing a variety of corporate legal documents (Articles of Incorporation/Organization, amendments, state qualifications, consents, merger documents, closing books, electronic closing sets, initial drafts or certificates, short-form closing deliverables, and filing annual reports)
* Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Large firm experience

##Role and Responsibilities

The Sr. Paralegal will be responsible for a range of substantive case, matter, or entity-related duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and other parties. This will include developing, monitoring, and updating closing and other books and other documents.

The Sr. Paralegal will also be responsible for researching, preparing, and filing legal UCC Financing Statements, Articles of Incorporation/Organization, annual reports, managing data rooms, and matter files, coordinating execution and delivery of documentation to other parties’ counsel, lenders, governmental agencies, etc., including all closing documentation. They will also develop, monitor, and update closing and other checklists.

##Compensation

The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience and overall qualifications. In accordance with New York City, California, and Washington’s Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York City, California or Washington is $95k-$130k.
