Perkins Coie LLP, a top law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join our nationally recognized Intellectual Property group. This full-time position is available in multiple locations, including Boise, ID; Palo Alto, CA; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; Austin, TX; and Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of . patent prosecution, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to conduct legal research and complex factual investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file patent and design applications and prosecution documents via the USPTO's electronic filing system.
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, foreign agents, and other parties to collect and assemble information.
- Manage a docket and track deadlines, including monitoring and following up with appropriate parties.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of . and PCT rules related to patent prosecution.
- Assist with client transfers and portfolio management.
- Utilize various databases and filing systems for patent prosecution processes.

Requirements:
- Five-plus years of recent experience as a patent prosecution secretary or paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with international procedures and managing foreign deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with lawyers, clients, and other professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
- Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree preferred.
