This full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position offers a competitive salary range of - ($113, - $160,) and an opportunity to make an impact in the legal world. The Paralegal III will work closely with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to support a variety of litigation matters. Responsibilities include case organization, discovery, trial preparation, and trial/arbitration support. The Paralegal III may also have supervisory duties depending on the project or case matter. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred), Paralegal Certification, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. They should also have experience in high-level project management and be proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, and various legal support software. Key Responsibilities: - Develop case organization protocols - Partner with case teams and colleagues to address client needs - Provide on-site support at trial (including out of state) - Conduct cite checks on federal and state documents - Conduct calendaring and docket legal analysis - Assist with discovery, including drafting written discovery and objections, participating in the collection process, and conducting document review - Engage in fact development and facilitate foreign language document translations - Provide key support on appellate filings and managing final document submissions - Actively participate in firm-sponsored trainings and apply learned principles in ongoing work - Manage staff teams and their work product during trial - Implement post-matter closing instructions, including compliance with litigation holds and document destruction policies - Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred) - Paralegal Certification (California Business and Professional Code Sect. 6450 compliant) - 10+ years of relevant experience - High-level project management experience leading a support team at trial - Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, and various legal support software - Expert written and verbal communication skills - Ability to take direction and execute assigned work - Strong organizational, reasoning, and research skills - Ability to interpret complex case facts and themes - Flexibility and agility in work direction and assignments - Expert ability to draft common litigation forms and edit legal documents - Expert cite-checking skills - Availability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as needed - Strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership of projects - Fluency in a foreign language preferred but not required Physical Demands and Working Conditions: - Writing, typing, reading, speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs - Primary work will be in the office, but occasional work at a trial site or other alternative location may be required.
