Salary Information:

- $60,000 - $80,000 annually

Job Description

As an IP Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting our attorneys in all aspects of patent and trademark applications and prosecution. This includes drafting applications, communicating with firm attorneys and staff, and monitoring and maintaining dockets. Other duties may include supporting the transfer of IP assets and generating IP portfolios and status reports for clients.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare drafts of patent and trademark applications, formalities, and office action response documents
- Communicate with Firm attorneys and staff regarding application filing and prosecution matters
- File documents and retrieve information from various online portals
- Perform comprehensive review and revisions of applications and specifications
- Possess a strong working knowledge of patent and trademark procedures and regulations
- Support the transfer of IP assets and maintain and clear dockets
- Generate IP portfolios and status reports for clients
- Anticipate potential issues and present solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

- 3+ years of patent and trademark filing and prosecution experience at an IP law firm
- Positive, professional, courteous, flexible, and team-oriented
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with international patent and trademark applications and documents
- Knowledge of US and foreign patent and trademark prosecution rules and procedures
- Proficiency with various computer applications and software
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience with CPI patent docketing software
- Paralegal certificate
- Familiarity with AppColl practice management software
