We are currently seeking a Senior Paralegal with experience in real estate law to join our team in our Austin, Texas office. The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and coordinating with clients and other parties involved in the transaction. This position requires a high level of experience and independent judgement, as well as strong client management skills. Job Title: Senior Paralegal - Real Estate Location: Austin, Texas Department: Real Estate Experience: 7-10 years Education: Associate degree (preferred Bachelor's degree) Employment Type: Full-time Duties and Responsibilities: Draft due diligence checklists and manage due diligence process with third parties. Review and comment on title and survey, and coordinate with title companies and surveyors. Draft and review purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, mortgages/deeds of trusts, and other ancillary loan documents. Draft or review organizational documents, such as articles of organization, operating agreements, and qualification documents. Draft or review shareholder and board consents, and officer's certificates. Conduct and review UCC judgment and lien searches at federal, state, and county levels. Organize, distribute, and compile all signature pages for closings. Interface directly with clients and other business parties to coordinate due diligence, closing, and funding. Manage and oversee the preparation and distribution of closing binders and other post-closing deliverables. Provide training and mentoring to Paralegals and Paralegal Assistants. Exercise independent judgement and discretion in managing client team activities. Stay informed of developments in the paralegal industry and share information with colleagues through informal communication or firm-sponsored training. Meet billable hour requirement of 1600 hours per year. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a real estate paralegal. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program or equivalent education and training. Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task efficiently, and think independently. Strong client management skills and ability to provide exceptional service. Highly organized and able to prioritize workflow and manage projects. Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
