H1: Legal Assistant - Litigation at Shutts & Bowen LLP in West Palm Beach, FL H2: Seeking Experienced Candidate for Full-Time Position H2: High-Quality Legal Administrative Support in Busy Law Firm Summary: Shutts & Bowen LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for their West Palm Beach office. This full-time position requires a candidate with at least five years of law firm experience, preferably in litigation with state court experience. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure. Shutts & Bowen offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including paid holidays, PTO, 401(k), and health benefits. Key Responsibilities: - Prioritize and manage multiple projects from inception to resolution with a sustained record of high-quality work. - File pleadings in state and federal court, understanding and meeting all court requirements. - Collaborate with firm-wide departments for tasks such as case opening, conflict checking, billing, and training. - Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents. - Track firm, attorney, and client expenses and process reimbursements and payments. - Participate in client billing, including entering narratives, tracking billable tasks, and delivering bills in electronic and paper form. - Schedule state court hearings and client appointments. - Possess knowledge of special events planning and coordination to organize attorney business development events. - Manage electronic and paper case files and handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence. - Answer and screen phone calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate parties. - Consistently deliver outstanding client service and quality. Education and Experience: - Must have five years of law firm experience, preferably in litigation with state court experience. - Experience working with multiple attorneys is required. Knowledge Requirements: - Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and time constraints. - Strong multitasking skills and ability to handle high volume and multiple responsibilities. - Attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through are crucial. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with law firm case management and billing software. - Desire to understand client concerns and build trust. Additional Information: - Full-time position with Monday to Friday, 9:00 . – 5:30 . work hours and occasional overtime. - Physical attendance at the office is required. - Competitive salary and benefits package offered. - Equal opportunity employer.
