The Litigation Docket Specialist position at Husch Blackwell LLP is a full-time, remote or in-office position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The Litigation Docket Specialist is responsible for monitoring assigned shared mailboxes and related docket requests, and docketing them in a timely manner using the firm's litigation docketing software. They will report to the Litigation Docket Manager and assist with additional projects within the Docket Team as needed. The essential job functions include independently docketing for designated assignment groups, creating and distributing accurate matter reports, and researching and applying statutory, agency, court, and individual judges' rules and practices. The Litigation Docket Specialist will also collaborate with the Litigation Docket Manager to improve the firm's docketing best practices, policies, and processes, and assist with special projects as needed.

The position requires a 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate, with a preference for a 4-year degree in a related field. 3-5 years of litigation docketing experience, specifically using CompuLaw Vision, is preferred. The candidate must also have 3-5 years of litigation experience in various federal and state courts, with the ability to calculate and calendar deadlines. Strong knowledge of California litigation and asbestos practice, as well as the litigation process, court rules, and procedures, is necessary for this role. The Litigation Docket Specialist must also have a proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local court systems, as well as administrative and government agencies. They should also be able to research and apply statutory/agency and/or court rules and procedures for any jurisdiction, and have experience using legal resources and websites to obtain case dockets, rules, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and internet research is required, as well as strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and resourcefulness.
