Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Ability to interact effectively internally, as well as with clients, and to exercise discretion.
Experience with supporting a busy business transactions practice, including client reporting, closing document preparation, checklists, escrow reconciliations, and calendar management.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Exceptional client service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Notary preferred but not required.

Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in real estate and/or business legal assistant or paralegal experience in a law firm or similar environment is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support a group of attorneys within the practice group through the performance of complex administrative and substantive legal duties.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects assigned by practice group management and/or attorneys in the practice group.
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars and schedule conferences and meetings.
- Serve as primary staff member interfacing with clients by phone, email, and for meetings.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions.
- Manage transaction due diligence activities and maintain large transaction files.
- Assist in the preparation of real estate documents, exhibits, and schedules.
- Prepare closing statements, disbursement statements, signature pages, and final documents for closings.
- Analyze title documents, legal descriptions, and surveys.
- Prepare and maintain deal checklists for assigned transactions.
- Organize corporate offering and buy/sell documents.
- Prepare and manage filings with the SEC and other agencies.
- Perform UCC financing statement and municipal searches.
- Assist with land use and zoning matters.
- Meet position billing requirements and deadlines.

Requirements:

- Minimum of high school diploma or GED, four-year college degree and certificate in paralegal studies preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in real estate and/or business legal assistant or paralegal experience in a law firm or similar environment.
