Job Title: Experienced Paralegal - Law Firm Experience: 3-5 years Location: Florida Panhandle - Destin or Panama City Offices H1: Experienced Paralegal Position Available at Law Firm in Florida Panhandle H2: Join Our Team as an Experienced Paralegal in the Destin or Panama City Offices Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Conducts legal research using various resources and maintains a thorough understanding of specialty areas of practice. - Drafts and prepares legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery requests, with attention to detail and accuracy. - Proficient in software programs and document management systems, adhering to firm procedures for naming and storage of documents. - Performs court-required electronic filing and understands the rules and procedures of the court system. - Familiar with legal forms, document formats, and printing requirements, as well as online legal research sites. - Maintains professionalism when using the firm's telephone system and handles incoming calls, transfers, and conference calls. - Reviews completed tasks and document production for errors in grammar, spelling, and legal case citing. - Assists in scheduling meetings and depositions and maintains attorney's calendar and deadline reminder system. - Works closely with administrative support staff and ensures timely entry of time sheets in the billing system. - Maintains confidentiality of firm and client matters at all times. Requirements: - 3-5 years of on-the-job paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting. - Proficient in reading and writing, with the ability to proofread and edit legal documents. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks under time constraints. - Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff. - Ability to handle a high volume of work with a high level of accuracy. - May require occasional irregular hours and physical tasks such as climbing stairs and lifting up to 30 lbs.
