Overview:
Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Docket Administrator to join our team in Boston. This role is responsible for managing the docket system to track deadlines and mitigate malpractice, with a focus on international docketing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor docket management for filing deadlines and response dates for attorneys
- Research current rules and practices and oversee docketing procedures
- Supervise and provide professional development to other team members within the docketing department
- Generate daily and weekly attorney and client reports as requested
- Work with IT to ensure updates and maintenance to the docketing database system remain current
- Serve as point person with the docketing database system vendor
- Enter and manage data in docketing database systems, generating and routing docket sheets to attorneys and their support staff
- Review transferred new matters and enter due dates into the docketing system
- Prepare patent application filing requests and transmittals, file Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent applications electronically, and all associated prosecution filings and client correspondence
- File foreign applications (via direct or national/regional phase) via foreign patent counsel, and all associated formality requirements and non-substantive actions during foreign prosecution
- Review and approve patent invoices from foreign counsel
- Process and docket email requests from attorneys, secretaries, and others
- May report correspondence to clients
- May assist with conducting internet research and patent screening searches

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Paralegal or Associate’s degree (preferred)
- 2-4 years of related experience (required)
- 3-5 years of related experience (preferred)
- Decision making skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Leadership skills, including giving feedback and finding solutions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
- Team player with ability to provide feedback and solutions
- Alignment with the firm's values and commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts

- Extended periods of sitting and computer work
