Thompson Hine’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice group is a multi-disciplinary team of attorneys and professionals providing comprehensive services in the areas of employee benefits, executive compensation, health care and labor & employment matters. Our attorneys are experienced in the design, implementation and administration of employee benefit plans. The practice includes providing guidance on all aspects of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Internal Revenue Code, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other federal and state laws governing employee benefit plans.

We are seeking an attorney with at least 8 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation to join our team. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid vacation time.

## Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Counsel/Partner

**Thompson Hine Law Firm** is looking for a counsel or partner level health and welfare attorney to join its esteemed Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice group. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience providing advice to businesses on all aspects of health and welfare plans.

**Job Responsibilities:**
- Provide advice to businesses on all aspects of health and welfare plans, including wrap plans, cafeteria plans and flexible benefits arrangements
- Ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act, COBRA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, TiC and CAA 21
- Draft and negotiate service provider agreements
- Resolve issues relating to administration of health and welfare plans
- Provide proactive advice to employers on a wide range of compliance and litigation issues

**Job Qualifications:**
- 8+ years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- Experience providing advice to businesses on all aspects of health and welfare plans
- Understanding of Affordable Care Act, COBRA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, TiC and CAA 21
- Ability to draft and negotiate service provider agreements
- Familiarity with resolving issues relating to the administration of health and welfare plans
