Job Title: Conflicts Analyst Location: Short Hills, New Jersey Salary: $240,000 per year Experience: 4 years in conflicts or new business intake department within a law firm or 3 years as a paralegal or similar role Summary: - DLA Piper, a top law firm, is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join their team. - This position is remote, but may require occasional visits to the local office. - The Conflicts Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and resolving potential legal and business conflicts, drafting conflict waiver letters, and implementing information barriers. - Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 4 years of experience in a similar role. - Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate and experience with intake and conflicts software. - The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. - This role requires working 9:30 am - 5:00 pm PT or 11:30 am - 7:00 pm ET. Responsibilities: - Review, interpret, and summarize conflict report results. - Analyze and resolve potential legal and business conflicts. - Draft formal email waivers and conflict waiver letters. - Implement information barriers and ensure proper notification to affected personnel. - Maintain conflict information in the financial database. - Review new business intake forms and identify conflicts. - Conduct corporate research and communicate with all levels of personnel to ensure accurate conflict clearance. - Maintain internal conflicts database and ensure proper documentation of legal and business conflicts. - Perform corporate research on all parties involved in new business requests. - Embrace and uphold the firm's values and culture. - Comply with all firm policies and practices. - Successfully meet deadlines and expectations. - Foster positive work relationships. - Engage in both physical and sedentary activity as needed. - Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements: - High school diploma. - 4 years of experience in conflicts or new business intake department within a law firm or 3 years as a paralegal or similar role. - Experience writing and communicating in a business environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to apply critical thinking and make sound decisions. - Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Willingness to work 9:30 am - 5:00 pm PT or 11:30 am - 7:00 pm ET. - Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate (preferred). - Experience with intake and conflicts software (preferred).
