The State of Alabama is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the full-time position of Paralegal. This is a paraprofessional legal work conducting research for legal issues arising in connection with the operation of state departments and agencies, and in the preparation and interpretation of legal documents.

Minimum Requirements:
• Graduation from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved paralegal program in paralegal studies or a closely related field, or graduation from a college or university with a two-year degree in paralegal studies or a closely related field
• One year of experience conducting paralegal research work
OR
• Graduation from an ABA approved school of law with eligibility to be admitted to the Alabama State Bar Examination or a current member in good standing with the Alabama State Bar.

Additional Requirements:
• All applicants MUST attach a copy of their legal assistant certificate, paralegal certificate, college transcripts, or . diploma to their application. Applications received without this information will not be processed.
