Job Title: Assistant State’s Attorney-Entry Level Prosecutor

Job Responsibilities:
- Case Preparation: The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and preparing criminal and serious traffic cases for trial. This includes interviewing witnesses and coordinating with police agencies to gather necessary information and evidence.
- Court Advocacy: The role requires representing the State of Maryland in various court proceedings. This includes participating in bail reviews, preliminary hearings, criminal and traffic trials, and sentencing hearings. The attorney must effectively advocate on behalf of the state in these proceedings.
- Legal Research: Conducting legal research is a key component of the job, supporting case preparation and strategic decision-making. The attorney must be able to analyze legal precedents and apply them to current cases.
- Communication: The position involves responding to inquiries from the public and governmental agencies. Clear and effective communication is essential to manage these interactions and provide accurate information.

Education and Experience Information:
- Education: Applicants must hold a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
