Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy Partner Level Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Aggressively represent clients across the law firm's platform and geographic reach in various industries, providing practical and creative solutions in distressed financial situations.
- Expand the depth of experience by joining the firm with significant expertise in representing financial institutions in both commercial bankruptcy and commercial loan workouts and restructurings, as well as in complex consumer bankruptcy litigation matters.
- Assist clients ranging from financial institutions to multi-million dollar corporations with their business and legal concerns.
- Manage and advise on issues such as contractual disputes, lender liability issues, dealer floorplan financing matters, non-compete litigation, construction contracts, estate and trust disputes, real estate contracts and leases, and other contractual and unfair trade practices claims.
- Help clients navigate mergers and acquisitions issues, including shareholder's rights and disputes, claims against officers and directors, and derivative actions.
- Assist with the enforcement of loan and lease obligations and foreclosures related to various commercial properties, UCC collateral, royalty agreements, oil and gas rights, vessels, and seafood.
- Understand and navigate laws and procedures related to creditors' rights, mortgages, and UCC security interests, assisting clients in prioritizing legal issues.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must have a substantial and self-sufficient book of portable business, ideally $600,000 or more.
- Demonstrated drive and potential for additional business generation are required.
- Significant experience in representing financial institutions in commercial bankruptcy, commercial loan workouts, and restructurings, as well as in complex consumer bankruptcy litigation matters, is essential.
Salary Information:
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
