Job Title: Consumer & Banking Enforcement Associate - Mid to Senior Level
Job Responsibilities:
The Consumer & Banking Enforcement Associate will be instrumental in handling regulatory enforcement and investigations within the Financial Services Practice Group. The candidate will be expected to:
- Engage in advocacy and communication, both orally and in writing, to represent clients effectively.
- Manage and conduct investigations related to bank and consumer financial protection regulations.
- Navigate and apply fair lending laws and regulations concerning unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices.
- Participate in government investigations and supervisory examinations.
- Collaborate with a team on high-profile cases within a supportive and dynamic environment.
- Contribute to the practice's development by working on innovative solutions and strategies.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of five years of experience in regulatory enforcement and investigations is required.
- The candidate should be familiar with bank and consumer financial protection regulations.
- Outstanding advocacy and communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
- Experience with fintech is considered a plus.
- Prior experience in a law firm is not mandatory, and candidates from government agencies are welcomed.
- Candidates must be a member of the state bar and in good standing.
Salary Information:
The annualized salary range for this position in New York City and Washington, . is $260,000 to $330,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a bonus.
