Current Employee Current Employee Mr. San Francisco

Advice to law firm management:
People need room to grow. There would be less turnover and higher quality of work if the lower level employees knew their work might put them in a better position in the future.

Pros:
Lots of highly talented people with lots to teach. There's always been a wealth of resources and knowledge from all levels of the staff that have helped me with my work and my career skills in general.

Cons:
Very difficult, if not impossible to move up. It seems like all open positions are filled externally. Few young people in the firm and the few that are there aren't there for long.

Former Employee Former Employee Mr. San Francisco

Advice to law firm management:
My advice to management is to give easier assignments to junior attorneys and don't give them more than they can handle.

Pros:
The law firm had some of the best talented people that I have ever worked with. I also enjoyed the training program when I was a junior.

Cons:
The hours I worked as a junior were insane. Sometimes, I was required to work through the night on assignments and even during the weekends.
