Advice to law firm management: Management at this firm needs to be more present and strict with their staff. Being laid back isn't a bad thing, but if employees are running the law firm it will become too chaotic.

Pros: This firm offered a good work environment that was nice to work with. Most of the employees I got along with and others kept to themselves which was fine. Upper management wasn't around much but when they were they were always helpful.

Cons: As I mentioned before, management wasn't always present when we needed them. Some staff would do whatever they please and management just didn't seem to care. The place felt like a zoo sometimes.

Advice to law firm management: Treat your employees as equals. Work on management a little.

Pros: The culture and work environment are excellent. The partners work to make a comfortable atmosphere. There aren't any minimum hours or any pressure to hit a certain amount.

Cons: Hours can get long. The pressure and stress is not for everyone.

Current or former employee?: Current Employee

The Summer Associate Program at Milbank Tweed offers law students an excellent opportunity to participate in intellectually stimulating legal work on actual cases alongside the firm's notable attorneys.

This program is offered at the New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC, offices of the firm, and the summer associates are encouraged to take full advantage of the ten-week program by participating in the weekly CLE sessions and the other training conducted at the firm along with 15 mandatory assignments involving challenging deals and cases.
