Find Joy in Your Life’s Work-and Never Be without Work
I cannot think of anything pressing that really needs to be changed. At most structure the mentoring more so new associates get more guided experience. I think that would help the new associates hit the ground running faster.
The senior associates are easily accessible to even junior associates. The culture is great and helpful. I found that a lot of effort was put into being accessible overall both in the firm and with clients.
I found that there could be some minor clique issues but that seems to be at every firm. I found everyone was mostly professional but there was a little annoying gossip when I was there. Otherwise this is a great, professionally ran firm.
We didn’t try to be different. We just did what came naturally. You could say it’s in our blood. That’s because our senior partners, Kohrman, Jackson and Krantz, happened to be revolutionary. They were lawyers who practiced more than law. They were innovators, community leaders and stewards of our city who always made their clients’ business their first priority.
KJK passionately believes mid-market businesses are the real drivers of our economy. We speak their language. We recognize that our economy is strengthened by small, yet promising start-ups, as well as large, economy-driving events.

Our summer associate program is an essential component of KJK's hiring process. Each summer associate is assigned an associate mentor. The mentor and summer associate interact closely throughout the summer. Projects are assigned based on a summer associate's expressed areas of interest and to provide exposure to a wide variety of work. In addition, assignments are coordinated by a partner who insures that each summer associate receives a mix of projects from attorneys in each of the firm's practice groups. The summer associate works directly with the assigning senior associate or partner and receives substantive feedback from the assigning attorney. We don't create projects for our summer associates: assignments reflect the type of work that a new attorney would perform as a first or second-year associate at our firm.

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP traces its roots back to 1885, when Worthington & Strong was founded by Judge William Worthington and Edward W. Strong. John L. Stettinius and John B.
