Job Title: Practice Support Team Specialist (Corporate Legal Assistant)

Job Responsibilities:
The Practice Support Team Specialist (Corporate Legal Assistant) plays a critical role in providing administrative support within a specific Practice Specialty Center at a law firm. The Specialist is responsible for managing multiple projects and priorities, delegating specific duties to other teams, and sharing overflow responsibility and support to all timekeepers assigned to the team. Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating workflow for assigned attorneys, delegating tasks to other teams, and ensuring follow-up and quality control.
- Preparing legal documents, including typing, transcribing, revising, and proofreading, while prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines.
- Assisting in coordinating timekeeper calendars and meeting arrangements, as well as making travel arrangements and preparing itineraries.
- Managing client billing matters, preparing billing letters, and providing client financial updates. Assisting attorneys with tracking and monitoring alternative fee arrangements and matter budgets.
- Processing new client/matter intake, preparing and processing new matter forms, requesting conflict checks, and opening new files.
- Reviewing and routing incoming mail and fax communications, preparing and processing outgoing mail and faxes, and arranging for specialized mail or messenger services as required.
- Providing general administrative support, maintaining attorney contacts, and tracking requirements and activity related to CLE and memberships.
- Demonstrating effective teamwork and communication with team members and all firm personnel. Participating in regular team meetings to discuss current projects and workflow.
- Utilizing team software to log and manage workflow.
- Operating office equipment, including PCs, printers, phones, copiers, facsimiles, and typewriters.
- Conducting all business in a confidential manner and coping successfully with demands from timekeepers, remaining calm under pressure.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the Practice Support Team Specialist (Corporate Legal Assistant) position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

- A high school diploma or GED is required; a 2-year degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of professional experience is required.
- A minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is required.
- Previous transcription experience is preferred.

Salary Information:
Compensation for the Practice Support Team Specialist (Corporate Legal Assistant) position is commensurate with skill and experience, with variations based on location and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

- State of California: $60,000 - $114,000
- State of Colorado: $49,000 - $88,000
- State of Illinois: $48,000 - $94,000
- State of Massachusetts: $53,000 - $102,000
- State of Minnesota: $53,000 - $88,000
- Washington, .: $69,000 - $101,000

These salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, which is non-guaranteed and dependent upon individual and firm performance. Full-time employees are entitled to benefits, including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, a pre-tax flexible spending account for certain medical and dependent care expenses, an employee assistance program, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, and participation in a retirement plan program after meeting eligibility requirements.
