Job Title: Legal Secretary/Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
- File documents with state and local courts, utilizing both e-filing and in-person submission as necessary.
- Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and manage docketing efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients, court clerks, and opposing counsel.
- Answer client inquiries and provide updates professionally.
- Assist with billing, timekeeping, and case support as needed.
- Maintain and strengthen positive client relationships.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in civil litigation or estate planning.
- Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Proficient in using legal case management software.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines independently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Professional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor.
Salary Information:
- Pay range is $35, - $43, per year.
