Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent and trade secrets disputes.
- Handle cases involving groundbreaking legal issues in high technology, software, digital media, and semiconductor industries.
- Participate in inter partes review petitions, contributing to the firm's active litigation practice.
- Collaborate with legal teams to develop strategies for defending or prosecuting intellectual property cases.
- Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Represent clients in court hearings and trials, presenting arguments and evidence effectively.
- Communicate with clients, providing updates on case progress and explaining complex legal concepts.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must possess a degree in an Engineering discipline, Physics, or Computer Science, which is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, specifically in patent and trade secrets disputes, is required.
- Experience with inter partes review petitions is highly desirable.
- Outstanding academic credentials are essential.
- Comparable experience at a law firm is required.
- Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly is required.
- Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred.
