Position Overview:
The law firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join its growing team. This role involves considerable client interaction, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and diligent in task completion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, and court forms
- Create letters and draft appeals for attorney review and signature
- Communicate with clients to coordinate information and signing of forms
- Schedule, coordinate, and confirm court dates, appointments, and meetings
- Arrange for the filing and e-filings of court documents
- Create and maintain client contact information
- Document all communications in the case management database
- Complete administrative duties such as scanning, file maintenance, notarization, formatting, printing, and document assembly
- Ensure that deadlines set by the Court are met by the team

Education/Training/Experience:
Required:
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Estate Planning and Probate
- Experience with E-Filing Portal
- Proficient in technology & software, including case management databases
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (OneNote, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal studies and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Experience with Smokeball practice management software
Salary Information:
