Researcher - Conduct Substantive Research for Elite Global Law Firm

**Members Only** is an elite global law firm with a long history of serving leading companies, financial institutions, and governments worldwide. We are currently seeking a Researcher to join our global Practice Solutions team and conduct substantive research across a range of practice areas.

In this role, you will deliver critical insights for client work and business development efforts, coordinate and conduct attorney training on research tools and methodology, lead various research projects, and participate in department strategic initiatives. You will also collaborate with colleagues from **Members Only** offices around the world to provide research services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct substantive research using online and print resources to support local and global practices
- Provide competitive intelligence and background research on clients and markets for business and client development efforts
- Assess research requests to ensure they meet stated and anticipated needs
- Educate attorneys and staff on research resources and methodology
- Use current awareness tools to create newsletters and alerts for ongoing client and industry monitoring
- Participate in evaluating and developing the research collection and piloting new services, including AI tools
- Stay informed of developments in the legal industry
- Provide cross-training and mentoring to colleagues in other offices
- Track and record billable and non-billable time spent on research services

Qualifications:

- Five or more years of broad research experience required
- Master's degree in Library Science, law, or other relevant field preferred
- Prior experience in fields such as law firms, investment banking, consulting, accounting, or journalism is beneficial
- Strong research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable intelligence
- Expert knowledge of legal and corporate databases and tools, such as Lexis+, Westlaw Edge, and Bloomberg Law
- Data literacy skills and experience with data manipulation preferred
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to prioritize effectively and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Client service focused with the ability to build productive relationships
- Strong judgment and ability to see the big picture
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Availability to work outside regular hours as needed

Location and Reporting:

- This role can be based in any of our . offices: Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Silicon Valley, Tampa, or Washington, .
- You will report to the Director of Research & Market Intelligence.

Salary Information:

- Salary range for Chicago market: 95,350 - 143,050 USD yearly
- Salary range for Los Angeles market: 99,350 - 149,050 USD yearly
- Salary range for New York market: 99,350 - 149,050 USD yearly
- Salary range for Silicon Valley market: 104,300 - 156,500 USD yearly
- Salary range for Washington . market: 99,350 - 149,050 USD yearly
- Salary range in other markets will vary based on location and experience.
