Job Title: Legal Secretary/Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Secretary/Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the legal team at a plaintiffs personal injury law firm. Key duties include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing and organizing files, drafting and editing legal documents, and maintaining accurate records.
- Handling communication tasks such as answering phone calls, managing email correspondence, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys.
- Conducting legal research to assist attorneys with case preparation, although this is not a mandatory requirement, it is considered a beneficial skill.
- Coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
- Assisting in the preparation of legal documents related to personal injury cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Education and Experience:
The candidate must have at least two years of experience in a similar role within the field of plaintiff's personal injury law. Familiarity with Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law is essential. The candidate should possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in typing and using organizational software. Excellent communication, writing, and verbal skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Dependability and punctuality are crucial attributes for this role. Any experience in legal research is considered advantageous.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Legal Secretary/Paralegal position is provided by the employer, ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 per year.
