Job Title: Child Support Specialist II

Job Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and evaluate child support cases to determine the appropriate establishment and/or enforcement actions.
- Prepare records of payment, legal pleadings, and correspondence.
- Update computer records and perform locate activities while documenting case activity.
- Negotiate settlements and agreed orders between parties.
- Mediate between parties to resolve issues related to child support payments.
- Monitor and manage case logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work for each year of the required education, plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree or a Juris Doctorate degree.
- An associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education with two years of qualifying experience; or an associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management with two years of qualifying experience; or completion of an American Bar Association-approved paralegal education program with two years of qualifying experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.

Salary Information:
- Level I (H30A): $36, plus full state employee benefits.
- Level II (H30B): $39, plus full state employee benefits.

Additional Information:
- Job-related travel is occasional.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
- This is a full-time position eligible for full state benefits.
