Job Title: Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships
Job Responsibilities:
Tax Specialization:
- Develops an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding partnership taxation.
- Participates in organizing and conducting effective external CPE training sessions in the area of specialization at least once per year.
- Trains and mentors interns and associates.
- Instructs interns and associates on how to use current software tools as needed.
Research:
- Assists in identifying when research is necessary and works with leadership to frame issues for research concisely.
- Identifies complex issues for the engagement team to research and provides research methodology for efficient processes.
- May train interns and associates on research skills and assist in framing tax issues for analysis.
- Involves firm specialists when appropriate.
Tax Consulting:
- Assists in developing, recommending, and implementing methods to maximize client benefits, focusing on reducing current and future taxes.
- Collaborates with leadership by combining tax knowledge with business/industry knowledge to recommend solutions.
- Works with leadership to manage risk while maximizing client benefits, especially by reducing client taxes.
- Aids in implementing applicable firm strategies.
- Assists in managing client expectations.
- Performs other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participates in scheduling and managing the workload of interns and associates.
- May supervise the day-to-day workload of interns on various projects.
- May review work prepared by interns and associates and provide review comments.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
- Preferred: Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation.
Experience:
- Required: Two or more years of relevant tax experience and/or experience in public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services.
- Preferred: Specialized partnership experience and private equity experience at both fund and portfolio company levels.
License/Certifications:
- Preferred: CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) or the equivalent.
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role is also preferred.
Software:
- Preferred: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of effectively delegating work as needed.
- Strong analytical, basic research, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
