Litigation/WC Paralegal The candidate will take charge of the overall procession of all workers compensation cases and other litigation matters as assigned, ensuring that all elements of each case are being collected, maintained and organized. Request, compile, prepare, organize and analyze documents, records and/or exhibits as needed for workers compensation matters, depositions, trial proceedings, settlement and other litigious matters. Request and analyze medical records; prepare chronologies and summaries. Perform various paralegal tasks in connection with civil lawsuits, personal injury or commercial litigation as assigned. Manage, update and maintain practice management system to include the coordination and monitoring of all case timelines, ensuring that all deadlines are timely met. Other duties include, but are not limited to, standard clerical tasks such as dictation, miscellaneous document drafting; communications including telephone calls, written and email correspondence; filing, faxing and phones; and other tasks as needed or as assigned. Associate's degree is preferred. Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is preferred. Should preferably have 5+ years of Litigation Paralegal experience. Workers compensation experience is preferred or 5+ years of experience in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense or workers compensation is preferred.
