KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. This is a remote position with the option to work from home. As a Federal Tax Manager for Alternative Investments, you will play a crucial role in helping high-profile clients navigate complex business opportunities and challenges. With KPMG's extensive network of specialists and Ignition Centers, you will have access to cutting-edge technologies and deep industry knowledge to create innovative tax solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee client portfolios within the alternative investment fund industry
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients
- Manage teams of tax professionals working on client projects
- Assess tax impact of rules and law changes and make recommendations to clients
- Facilitate risk and financial performance of engagements
- Deliver high-quality tax services to clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM preferred
- Proficient in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
