Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Manager (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring program operations and processes comply with relevant laws, standards, and regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of the Federal Contracts and Grants Compliance Program.
- Developing a comprehensive library of applicable laws and regulations.
- Establishing a formalized regulatory compliance change management process that includes identifying new laws and regulations, conducting impact assessments, reviewing policies and processes, and managing communication, implementation, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
- Identifying, reviewing, and updating compliance program policies and procedures.
- Leveraging tools and technology, such as Microsoft Purview, to align privacy and data protection practices.
- Improving existing privacy and data protection controls and strategies for regulated data.
- Overseeing program operations related to handling and safeguarding sensitive information and regulated data.
- Developing educational materials, training plans, and newsletter articles.
- Collaborating with various teams to monitor identified risk areas.
- Assisting with the development of compliance-related policies and procedures.
- Providing audit support for the maintenance of relevant certifications.
- Prioritizing privacy and compliance projects, developing annual staff budgets, selecting tools to automate and enhance manual processes, and developing staffing plans.
- Identifying new privacy and AI laws and regulations and establishing program recommendations.
- Providing metrics support and content for monthly Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) Council meetings.
- Supporting the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program and investigations as necessary.
- Overseeing the identification of new domestic and international privacy and compliance laws and regulations applicable to the law firm.
- Assisting with identifying privacy and compliance-related training materials.
- Handling special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct daily supervision.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of law firm personnel, including partners and administrative managers.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications & Education:
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- Experience working in a law firm.
- Industry-standard certification such as CCEP, CIPP, or CIPT.
Salary Information:
This position may be filled in Washington, Illinois, District of Columbia, New York, Colorado, or California. The base salary ranges for this position are as follows:
- Washington – $115,000 to $173,000 per year
- Illinois – $115,000 to $173,000 per year
- District of Columbia – $126,000 to $188,000 per year
- New York City – $81,000 to $122,000 per year
- Colorado – $126,000 to $188,000 per year
- California – $81,000 to $122,000 per year
An individual's actual compensation will depend on their qualifications and experience. In addition to base compensation, the law firm provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
