Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft routine court documents such as Notices of Appearances, Pro Hac Vice Motions, Notices of Motions, Subpoenas, Stipulations, and other general court documents.
- Compile and/or draft legal documents for review and use by attorneys, including routine discovery responses and affidavits.
- Request, pursue, subpoena, and collaborate with record vendors to obtain medical treatment and/or educational records.
- Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence.
- Conduct case law research using Lexis/Westlaw and public access websites to assist with defense strategies.
- Organize, analyze, chart, and/or index medical treatment and education records, documents, and/or exhibits for motion practice.
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial concerning general matters.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege in preparation for disclosure.
- Review, categorize, and analyze reports, records, data, and discovery responses.
- Capture and record billable time in accordance with policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Information:
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
- Proficient in Lexis and/or Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, and KOFAX Professional.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Ability to work with multiple attorneys.
- Ability to work with large document-intensive cases.
Salary Information:
- The annualized salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.
- Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Additional Information:
- The position requires proactive individuals with excellent organizational, scheduling, and calendaring skills.
- Ability to multi-task, manage a large caseload, and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- The job offers hybrid hours with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, with flexibility for overtime when needed.
- Minimum 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week remotely.
