Job Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of insurance defense litigation cases from inception to resolution
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced attorneys and paralegals
- Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to insurance defense
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Florida State Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with trials and appeals is preferred
- Knowledge of insurance defense laws and regulations
