Key Responsibilities of a Summer Associate



Work closely with attorneys on complex legal matters
Engage in a variety of patent prosecution assignments, including claim drafting and responding to Office actions
Conduct research and draft memos, briefs, and other legal documents
Participate in client meetings, hearings, and case strategy sessions
Receive guidance and support to explore specific areas of legal interest
Attend seminars and networking events to build professional connections
Participate in social activities to foster relationships with fellow summer associates and attorneys



Qualifications for the Role



Must be a second-year law student enrolled at an American Bar Association-accredited law school
Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Software, or a similar field
Strong academic performance in both undergraduate and law school coursework
Genuine interest in pursuing a legal career at Armstrong Teasdale
Demonstrated personal and professional achievements
Passion, curiosity, and approachability, with a willingness to learn and be coached
