Legal Secretary The candidate will assist with the preparation and proofreading of correspondence, reports, and a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, subpoenas, affidavits, and trial-related or settlement documents, among others. Filing (including e-filing) of a variety of pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts in Georgia and other states. Calculate and calendar deadlines in state and federal court matters then ensure reminders are in place for multiple team members and deadlines are met. Organize and coordinate telephone conferences, meetings, appointments, depositions, inspections, and travel for team members. Communicate with clients, experts, and outside vendors at the direction of attorneys and paralegals. Manage complex cases and clients in a way that reflects our firm values and culture. Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly. Should have excellent written and oral communication skills. Should have superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Should have the ability to multi-task and juggle demanding deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment; 5+ years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, etc.). Typing accuracy and speed of at least 50 WPM. Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs is a plus.
