Job Title: EPLI Program Manager

Job Responsibilities:

The EPLI Program Manager at the law firm holds a crucial role in overseeing the firm's Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) defense program. The primary responsibilities include:

- Coordinating with various offices and administrative departments to ensure accurate setup of new insured matters, enhancing communication with insurance carriers and clients, and improving data integrity and internal reporting.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a training program for attorneys and legal assistants involved in EPLI defense work.
- Managing the panel carrier renewal process by collaborating with relationship attorneys and administrative departments to ensure the most beneficial rates and billing guidelines for the firm.
- Responding to attorney requests for information to help secure new EPLI matters.
- Creating and maintaining processes to identify and address reductions from invoices by insurance carriers, appealing reductions where appropriate, and collaborating with billing attorneys to improve activity narrative descriptions when necessary.
- Developing expertise in individual insurance carrier guidelines and requirements, acting as a resource for the firm regarding rate inquiries, required vendors, and the reduction and appeals process for various carriers. Staying updated on changes in insurance carrier rates and guidelines and maintaining the EPLI webpages.
- Advising and instructing the firm's eBilling Specialists on distribution of recaps, timely submission of appeals, follow-up procedures, and write-offs.
- Resolving delinquent EPLI accounts appropriately.
- Cross-training administrative personnel for back-up support.
- Preparing quarterly statistical reports, including graphs and charts that detail the number of EPLI cases and financial data for individual insurance carriers.
- Managing new assignments and projects, maintaining and updating EPLI databases related to Claims Examiner information, panel agreements, insurance carrier relationships, and firm contacts. Coordinating with Client Services for attorney requests for RFPs and representing the EPLI Department at various firm functions, including the Attorney Retreat.

Education and Experience Information:

The ideal candidate for the EPLI Program Manager position should possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience, with working knowledge of the insurance industry.
- A . from an ABA-accredited law school is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Document Management System.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a persuasive and diplomatic manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage, prioritize, and handle numerous projects/tasks requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Initiative to take independent actions and reasonable risks, and a willingness to ask for and offer help when needed.
- Teamwork orientation, with a willingness to help others and share knowledge and skills.
