Job Title: Business Development Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The Business Development Coordinator at the law firm is integral to the business development team, playing a key role in driving revenue growth and enhancing the client experience. This position involves executing marketing and business development tactics in alignment with the firm's business plans. The Coordinator is tasked with maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of the firm's experience records, practice and industry group descriptions, attorney capabilities, and client and prospect intelligence. This information is strategically disseminated to enhance both internal and external understanding of the firm’s capabilities. The Coordinator supports Business Development Managers and Specialists, aiding in the proactive management of collaborative group and individual attorney business development initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and customizing proposal content to ensure compliance with RFP guidelines.
- Analyzing company and industry research to identify market trends and areas of opportunity.
- Drafting and editing experience records, practice and industry descriptions, and attorney profiles.
- Supporting the implementation of business development plans and execution of pitches and proposals.
- Conducting research and development of competitive intelligence reports.
- Managing and analyzing business development/marketing budgets.
- Implementing sponsorship and conference strategies and conducting post-event reporting and analysis.
- Coordinating with the marketing team to optimize investment impact.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of business development-specific experience or three years of marketing experience in a law firm, professional services, or financial services firm. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, with a preference for specialization in marketing, legal, finance, or business administration. The role demands strong organizational, detail-oriented, and proactive skills, along with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should exhibit strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, presentation, and networking skills and be client-service oriented. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with research and client/contact databases, is required. Travel is also necessary for this position.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Business Development Coordinator position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by factors such as education, work experience, geographic location, skills and competencies, industry knowledge, job responsibilities, market considerations, and other business considerations.
