Job Responsibilities:
The Associate position at the law firm involves independently managing all aspects of employment litigation matters for private sector corporate clients in California. The key responsibilities include:

- Conducting case analysis, strategy development, and oversight
- Managing budgets and case management
- Engaging in proactive communication with the law firm team and clients
- Preparing pleadings and motions
- Preparing and responding to written discovery, including E-discovery
- Preparing and responding to motions
- Attending depositions, hearings, motions, and mediations
- Preparing for and attending trials
- Assisting with counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have between 4 to 8 years of substantive employment law experience. Additionally, applicants must be admitted to the California Bar. Experience in supervising junior attorneys is considered a plus.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this full-time position is between $165,000 for those with 4 years of experience and $180,000 for those with 8 years of experience. This salary range is provided in compliance with applicable law, and the final salary will depend on factors such as the applicant’s skills, experience, and years of practicing employment law.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring 1,800 billable hours per year. The position is classified as a hybrid role, requiring work at the law firm's San Diego, CA office a minimum of two days per week, with a mandatory in-office day on Wednesday and a second day on either Tuesday or Thursday. Flexibility is required to work additional in-person days as needed for coverage and other business needs.
