Job Title: Workers' Compensation Paralegal - Experienced (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for the Workers' Compensation Paralegal in the Workers’ Compensation Department at the law firm involve a variety of tasks centered around client communication and case management. Key duties include:

- Engaging in heavy volume client communication to ensure clients are well-informed and supported.
- Conducting periodic file reviews to assess and manage case progress.
- Preparing for hearings to ensure all necessary documentation and information are ready.
- Following up on carrier payments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Evaluating case status to determine the next steps in the legal process.
- Coordinating medical care and determining the status of client treatment to ensure clients receive necessary medical attention.
- Following up on medical requests with doctor’s offices to facilitate client care.
- Filing fee applications accurately and timely to ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
- Contacting claim adjusters to discuss case details and resolve issues.
- Drafting correspondence to all appropriate parties to communicate case updates and requirements.
- Explaining detailed legal issues to clients to ensure they understand their rights and the legal process.

The role demands the ability to handle heavy call volumes with exceptional customer service skills. It requires setting priorities and managing any changes in priority effectively. The ideal candidate should enjoy strong client contact and communication, particularly over the phone.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have prior experience as a Workers' Compensation paralegal. Specific requirements include:

- Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law to effectively manage and support cases.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of individuals.
- Strong customer service skills and an excellent telephone manner to maintain client relationships.
- Supreme organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Salary Information:
