H2: Work with Experienced Attorneys to Defend Against Medical Malpractice Claims

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Assist attorneys with all phases of discovery and motions practice
- Prepare and schedule depositions, coordinate with court reporters and videographers
- Index and summarize deposition transcripts
- Organize and review documents, pleadings, and medical records for new cases
- Maintain firm-wide database and prepare exhibits for motions and other pleadings
- Coordinate service of subpoenas and maintain practice group database
- Perform document reviews and prepare document productions
- Research expert witnesses and medical conditions
- Draft standard procedural pleadings and respond to requests for admissions
- Assist with trial preparation and maintain case files and calendars
- E-file pleadings and file paper pleadings with courts
- Travel to local courthouses and businesses as necessary

Minimum Education/Certification:

- BA/BS degree in a related legal field of study (Paralegal Certificate preferred)

Minimum Experience:

- 5+ years of current civil litigation experience
- Experience with medical malpractice defense and/or personal injury litigation preferred

Special Skills and Knowledge:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize work effectively
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and listening skills
- Intermediate to advanced level skills using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and legal software
- Flexibility for potential travel and overtime

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 based on experience and credentials
