Case Manager

Job Responsibilities
- Engage in daily interaction with existing and potential clients through telephone and in-person communications.
- Order and manage medical records from providers, maintaining communication with both clients and providers throughout treatment processes.
- Obtain necessary documentation to support injury and/or liability positions.
- Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and manage account balances.
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and work to reduce outstanding medical balances with providers.
- Collaborate directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files.
- Maintain organized case files and prepare comprehensive demands and supporting documents for submission to carriers.
- Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required.
- Manage case files from intake to closure under the direction of an attorney.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Education and Experience Information
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster is preferred.
- Must have negotiating skills.
- Ability to work as a team player and follow procedures.
- Must proactively interact with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with the capacity to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Extensive computer and database expertise, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing no less than 35 words per minute.
