Job Title: Manager - Commercial and Contracts
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, redline, and negotiate a broad range of transactional contracts including procurement and sale of services, technology, data, content, and products, both within and outside of the supply chain.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to mitigate identified risks in the contract language being negotiated and ensure the commercial objectives are fulfilled within the stipulated timeframe.
- Communicate independently with the client’s business and legal stakeholders to build and strengthen relationships.
- Understand and work within client-specific processes and negotiation strategies.
- Work with a team to ensure service delivery in accordance with the agreed project scope, ensuring overall client satisfaction and compliance with SLAs, and actively identifying client needs and ways to fulfill those needs.
- Contribute to and lead regular communication forums involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the point of escalation for the project team to address both technical and people management issues.
- Create executive summaries of executed contracts to enable client business teams’ understanding of risk and compliance positions.
- Work to understand, implement, and facilitate the use of Contract Management technologies appropriate to client needs.
- Innovate and improve upon current processes and techniques, including workflow, time, and knowledge management.
- Facilitate reporting via daily/weekly/monthly metrics packs to internal and external project stakeholders, possibly members of senior management.
Education and Experience Information:
- with 2 to 6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house with a large multinational corporation.
- Ability to work with different contract structures and strong issue-spotting ability.
- Contract negotiation experience handling volumes across a variety of transactions on both the buy and sell side.
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills at all levels, including presentation skills, both formal and informal.
- Familiarity with working with technology and willingness to keep abreast of the changing environment.
- Highly responsive to the needs of both internal (including reporting managers, other project managers, and team members) as well as external clients.
- Strong relationship and people leadership skills – be a team player, facilitate and encourage different points of view, and effectively manage any associated conflict.
- High energy, self-starter, ability to work independently, analytical, quick learner, organized, flexible to change, and drives results.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills are desirable.
Salary Information:
- The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000.
- The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800.
- Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
