Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining client files, correspondence, and legal documents, as well as assisting with document collection, organization, analysis, and production. Will be responsible for preparing and disseminating document compilations, managing case-document databases, conducting legal research, and handling all aspects of routine project management. Support all aspects of civil litigation for cases in state and federal courts. Manage and organize client and project-specific documents. Prepare documents for court filings, including manual Bluebooking and proofreading. Perform/assist with e-filing process in state and federal courts. Collaborate with technology partners to prepare and produce documents and data. Manage and organize routine correspondence. Conduct legal research using Lexis, Westlaw, PACER, and additional online resources available to the firm. Prepare binders for attorney review. Produce client-ready deliverables to colleagues and clients. Track and meet all relevant litigation deadlines and follow up as appropriate. Perform other miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by attorneys.
The candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and must be a self-starter. Must also have law firm experience practicing California state court litigation. Must have proficiency using PDF software, strong Microsoft Excel experience, and a working proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. a Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification are required. Must have experience supporting cases in California state courts.
