About the Programs:
- Offer practical work experience and skill development
- Familiarize participants with court procedures and operations
- Provide enhanced understanding and appreciation for the judicial system
- Participants receive experience preparing legal documents, access to networking opportunities, and an overview of court processes and procedures
Paralegal Program:
- Provides quality paralegal work experience
- Assists with preparation of legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support, and health insurance issues
- Placement areas include Family Law (Self-Help Centers, Domestic Violence Clinic, Guardianship Clinic, Toll Family Law Counseling Center with LAFLA)
- Open to current students enrolled in paralegal schools, colleges, and universities throughout LA County
- Also open to individuals who have completed a Paralegal certificate program in paralegal schools, colleges, or universities
- Participants may receive accreditation or course credit from their school or certification program (applicant's responsibility to determine if Court's program meets requirements)
- Interns receive accreditation or course credit from their school or certification program
