Job Title: Billing Coordinator II
Job Responsibilities:
The Billing Coordinator II is tasked with a variety of duties centered around the preparation and management of billing processes. These responsibilities include:
- Preparing and distributing monthly pre-bills to assigned billing attorneys and practice assistants.
- Implementing instructed revisions, transfers, rate changes, and other requested billing adjustments.
- Preparing and submitting invoices to clients.
- Conducting billing research for current and past bills upon request.
- Monitoring work-in-progress (WIP) and assisting billing attorneys with minimizing unbilled WIP.
- Conducting detailed analysis of accounting and billing issues to reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborating with collections to minimize accounts receivable issues and credit balances.
- Promptly answering and responding to billing questions.
- Monitoring and responding to Billing Help Desk requests.
- Providing back-up assistance as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the position of Billing Coordinator II are expected to possess the following qualifications:
- 0-1 years of billing experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- An Associate’s Degree in business, finance, or a related field. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for continual improvement in results.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills, including record-keeping, data collection, and systems information skills.
- A self-starter who is motivated to succeed.
- The ability to interact with attorneys, office staff, and clients in a professional manner.
- The ability to compile, analyze, and present data in a user-friendly format.
- The ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
The anticipated annual salary range for the Billing Coordinator II position varies depending on the location, as follows:
- Boston, MA: $57,500 - $79,200
- Chicago, IL: $57,500 - $79,200
- Los Angeles, CA: $57,500 - $79,200
- New York City, NY: $63,000 - $86,900
- Victor, NY: $52,500 - $72,050
- San Francisco, CA: $63,000 - $86,900
- Washington, DC: $57,500 - $79,200
In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on various factors, including but not limited to work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero in some circumstances. Therefore, the above-listed salary ranges are the law firm's good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
