Job Title: Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Draft and file pleadings, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legal formatting requirements, and adherence to deadlines.
- Propound discovery in a timely manner, including proper case captions and proofs of service, and ensure e-service is included.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather all relevant information and documents. Review and analyze files and records to extract important information.
- Respond to discovery requests promptly using appropriate objections when needed, providing substantive responses that balance maximizing the client’s case value and privacy interests.
- Draft and format other discovery tools, including deposition notices, requests for vehicle inspections, and responses to demands for medical examinations. Review incoming subpoenas for appropriate limitations, ensuring discovery documents are served timely.
- Organize and manage case files efficiently, including properly naming and saving all pleadings, discovery, evidence, and expert-related documents in the appropriate folders.
- Communicate actively with all relevant parties, including the handling attorney, clients, experts, and witnesses, regarding case status, upcoming deadlines, and time-sensitive issues.
- Participate actively and be well-prepared during department and team meetings.
- Schedule and oversee the coordination of depositions, hearings, and other case-related events.
- Assist with expert designation and coordinate expert files to and from the office, experts, and defense. Provide assistance in all aspects of trial preparation, including managing witness subpoenas, preparing trial binders, coordinating with experts, and ensuring compliance with all local and courtroom rules regarding trial preparation.
- Provide valuable support to attorneys during trial, including assistance with exhibits and the examination of witnesses to enhance case presentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal, with a preference for experience in personal injury law.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Proficient in utilizing legal research tools and case management software.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
- Competent in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and thriving under pressure.
- Well-versed in state and federal court rules and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

Salary Information:
- Salary Range: to Annually.
